For 8th Grade Applicants:

Letters notifying you of your acceptance or not will be sent out in December/January.

The Leonard J. Tyl chapter of the National Junior Honor Society will have their annual induction ceremony during the Spring.

The selection of these students will be based upon careful consideration of scholarship, leadership, service, and character by our faculty council. Members will be required to do additional community service, and NJHS sponsored service projects. The goal is to not only honor deserving students but to also continue to foster their service and leadership characteristics.

If you are accepted, YOU MUST COMPLETE AN ADDITIONAL 10 HOURS DURING THE REMAINDER OF YOUR 8TH GRADE YEAR.

Those hours are due by your induction ceremony. This is mandatory. The form will be available at the meeting and can be found here as well.

For Current 7th Graders:

Letters will be mailed out in April/May if you are eligible to join. In addition, there will be a meeting for those who qualify. More information to come.

Candidate packets will be due in the Fall.

You can find your bylaws and Candidate Packets below on this page.

Community service hours need to be completed in the summer.
